A Healing Paradigm

This experiential session is designed for therapists interested in the use of ancestral healing in the therapy process.

This experiential workshop focuses on practical methods for assisting clients to remember, acknowledge, pay tribute to, and gain information regarding their ancestors. Ethical, cultural, and best practices guidelines are considered when incorporating the use of Genograms, rituals, restoration, and remembrance practices in the psychotherapy process.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Discuss ethical, cultural, and best practices for incorporating the use of Genograms, rituals, and ancestral healing practices in the psychotherapy process.
2. Demonstrate practical skills for integrating the concepts of ancestral healing work into the psychotherapy process.
3. Learn methods for assisting clients in obtaining information about their ancestors and family functioning.
4. Attendees will build clinical competence by deepening knowledge of their own ancestral lineage.
