XPM EU/UK/ANZ - XSCALE Product Management - Live Online Training Stream (ANZ course times are 8-11pm Sundays and Saturdays)

XPM ends the guesswork, half-products, and political paralysis of delegated product ownership. It’s simple but scientific solution to the problem of making trade-offs between complex business, design and technical constraints. XPM aligns the team to continuously prioritize the bottleneck in their value stream.

In this six-session live-online training series you’ll learn how to generate product-market impact across multiple value streams under rapidly changing business conditions. You’ll learn how to discover, define, design, quantify and prioritize product features and operations on opening the bottleneck – the key constraint preventing faster business growth. Because priorities that don’t laser focus on the bottleneck waste bandwidth on product features and operations that incur costs of delay while reducing ROI.

You’ll learn the “Leadership as a Service” protocols that align technical, business and design stakeholders into a self-managing product squad. How to organize this squad to an agile cadence to generate a faster and better alternative to “scaled” big-room planning. How to derive actionable release goals and parsimonious feature-sets from your business drivers and business constraints through Pirate Canvas, CRC-Carding and Behaviour Mapping. And how to replace tedious and irrational WSJF prioritization with fast, lightweight, breadth-first Business Bingo and Release Refactoring practices to continuously adapt product decisions to learnings.

You’ll learn when to use and how to combine the three major design schools of the Lean/Agile world - Design Thinking, Set-Based Design, and Emergent Design. And how to apply these to market ecosystems strategically before diving down to specify services, functions, or experiences. You’ll learn how map your designs to terse and testable BDD acceptance criteria. And how to coordinate all these activities on a 3D Kanban, a simple product tracking system far better suited to product strategic responsiveness than Scrum backlogs and SAFe PI walls.

Above all, you’ll learn how to maintain stakeholder expectations despite the rapid adaptation to change that’s essential to maximize product-market fit. This course is complementary to but doesn’t disrupt traditional agile delivery planning, and assumes no pre-requisite knowledge except basic familiarity with the values and principles of the agile manifesto.
