Crawfish survey day Padstow bay and Surrounds MCZ

Join us on a day of Crawfish survey dives with Skipper Chris Lowe aboard the Atlantic diver - a comfortable catamaran hard boat, joined by staff from CIFCA.
Setting off from South Quay, Newquay harbour we will carry out two dives - The first dive being an exciting 30m max dive at slack tide within the Padstow MCZ the second dive will in a more sheltered location within the MCZ. NOTE there is a backup date of 15th July which will be dived if the weather/waves mean it is impossible to dive on the 10th - Please keep this day free if possible.

Meeting point Mylor Yacht harbour.. Get there with plenty of time to get your kit sorted and on the boat, and car parked (bring car park money)

Dives will be a max depth of 30m. We will be doing two dives in one day so drysuit is needed.

Please note due to extremely unpredicatble weather on the north coast we have a backup day of 15th July - please keep that date free if possible!

Priority will be given to experienced regular seasearchers.
To take part in a seasearch dive with Cornwall Wildlife Trust you must;
•Be aged 18 or over
•Be a trained diver qualified to the level of BSAC Sports diver, PADI Rescue diver or equivalent
•Have recent experience of cold water diving including a minimum of 20 logged dives, 10 of which should be in the UK and 2 of which should be within the last 6 months.
•Have your own dive gear or able to rent dive gear which must be serviceable and within test date
•Have a current diving medical or self-certification declaration
•Have third party liability diving insurance.
•Be fit on the day and fully able to participate
