A primer from two-time US Rifle World Shoot Team Member Brian Nelson covering the fundamentals and setup of a Pistol Caliber Carbine.

The focus of this course is on the PCC as a tool for USPSA-type competition, however the fundamentals carry into the use of full-size rifles very well.

Course Content:

• Carbine Stance/Grip
• Visual Acceptability (minimum aiming for maximum points)
• Rifle Setup (fitting, discussion of magazines, buffer systems, PCC platforms and maintenance)
• Manipulations (deliberate Make Ready, reload, emergency malfunction clearance)
• Aggressive Movement
• Shooting On The Move

Required Equipment:

• Reliable PCC and tested, reliable ammunition
• 3+ standard/high cap magazines (30rds+)
• Eye/Ear Protection (electronic preferred)
• Kneepads
• Note Taking Equipment
