Alexander Calder, America’s greatest sculptor of the 20th Century, made jewelry using a hammer. Learn some of the techniques he used in this introductory class to the area of forged jewelry. This class is intended to give students a basic knowledge of how to manipulate metal, whether sheet or wire and achieve specific goals, i.e small pieces of jewelry.

We will work the metal after it has been annealed and cleaned. A $25.00 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.
