2 Day - Intuitive Defensive Shooting Pistol & Carbine

This 2 day event is open to the public

The Fundamentals of the Intuitive Defensive® Pistol is a one day course that will expose the student to all the core principles and fundamentals of the Intuitive Defensive® Shooting Program. This course will cover the basics of intuitive defensive shooting, Combat Accuracy, The Balance of Speed & Precision, an introduction to the understanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a Dynamic Critical Incident, understanding the integration of lateral motion and additional concepts as time allows.

The Intuitive Defensive® Carbine Course is a one day course designed to expose students to an efficient method of defending themselves with a semi-automatic rifle during a dynamic critical incident. All of the principles and fundamentals of the Intuitive Defensive® Shooting program are applied to the carbine. This is an excellent follow up to the IDS Pistol Course.

This Course will provide the student with an understanding of true Counter Ambush training with a defensive firearm and a defensive carbine, base level defensive shooting skills and a training methodology for continuing to develop those skills.

This course is two full days of intense training, teaching and practice. The course will cover the following topics:

What do I need to bring?

Defensive Pistol
Backup gun (optional)
3 double stack or 5 single stack magazines
Strong side hip or appendix holster (quality kydex, or a similar type where the top of the holster remains open)
500-600 rounds ammunition
Gear that can withstand rigorous use. We will be spending a lot of time coming out of, and going back to, the holster.

Defensive Carbine
Backup carbine (optional)
3 - 5 magazines
Sling (good quality)
600-700 rounds ammunition

Other items
Eye and ear protection
Weather appropriate clothing
Water
Snacks
Sack lunch - we will eat on site
