Church Safety Team Training Range Day

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
This firearms training course is a one day event that will expose the Church Safety Team Member to all the core principles and fundamentals of the Intuitive Defensive® Shooting Program in the context of a Church Safety Team Member or Church Security Officer. This course will cover the basics of intuitive defensive shooting, Combat Accuracy, The Balance of Speed & Precision, an introduction to the understanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a Dynamic Critical Incident, understanding the integration of lateral motion, moving through a crowded environment, and additional concepts as time allows as they pertain to potentially lethal responses to a Dynamic Critical Incident in a House of Worship.

This Course will provide the student with an understanding of true Counter Ambush training with a defensive firearm, base level defensive shooting skills and a training methodology for continuing to develop those skills.

This course is one full day of intense training, teaching and practice. The course will cover the following topics as time allows:

Combat Accuracy
Lateral Motion
The Balance of Speed & Precision
The Critical Incident Reload
Volume of Fire
Realistic Training for Multiple Target Engagement
Understanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a Dynamic Critical Incident.
Non-Diagnostic Linear Malfunction Clearing
Shooting in Motion (When, How & Why)
Moving though a Crowd
Engaging a threat from other than standing positions
Use of Cover and Concealment
The Skill Development Cycle
One Handed & Weak Handed Shooting

What do I need to bring?

Lunch, snacks, and water
Defensive Pistol
Backup gun (optional)
3 double stack or 5 single stack magazines
Strong side hip or appendix holster (quality kydex, or a similar type where the top of the holster remains open)
500-600 rounds ammunition (or we can provide it through our FFL with some notice at fair market value)
Eye and ear protection
Weather appropriate clothing
Gear that can withstand rigorous use. We will be spending a lot of time coming out of, and going back to, the holster.
