CE Combo: GENUP & elective topic, Mortgage Knowledge is Power

Sign up for both your annual GENUP (General Update for non-BICs) and an elective and save $$$!
Knock out both CE credits in one day. This combination includes the elective course, Mortgage Knowledge is Power.

This year’s annual GENUP covers the following topics:

  • Competence of Licensees
  • Material Facts
  • Home Inspections
  • Wire Fraud
  • Law and Rule Updates
  • Licensing and Education

Any licensee who is BIC eligible or an active BIC should take the BICUP course and not the GENUP course.

The elective course, Mortgage Knowledge is Power, offers guidance to licensees to develop intelligent responses for their clients when confronted with questions regarding the lending process and to instruct agents as to how and when their competent actions may assist the client and the lenders. This class will delve into the roles of the parties to the mortgage process as well as provide an insider’s perspective of the mortgage lending industry. Licensees will learn valuable “tips and tricks” to provide exceptional customer service to their clients so as to avoid the stress and pitfalls inherent in a bad lending experience.

Important guidelines regarding CE:

Licensees must complete eight (8) hours per year of continuing education (CE) in order to renew your license on active status. Four (4) of the required CE credit hours must be obtained by completing the Mandatory Update course. The Mandatory Update (GENUP) course or the BIC Annual Review (BICAR, BIC status only) must be taken in a classroom and is not available online.

The remaining four (4) CE credit hours may be obtained by taking an elective course in the classroom or online. Please see our schedule at www.goschool.biz for a complete list of online and in-person elective courses (NCREC approved) that will fulfill this remaining 4 hour CE requirement.

Students may roll over a maximum of 4 elective credit hours to the following year.

Licensees must attend at least 90% of a CE course and comply with student participating standards in order to receive credit for the course.

Upon completing the class, you will receive a Certificate of Completion for your records. Go School will report the course completion to the NCREC within 7 days. You do not need to take any action to report the completion to the NCREC.
