Letterpress W/E workshop with Lucy Guenot
Letterpress w/e workshop
Letterpress is a fascinating area of print with many possibilities. As part of the course, you will explore traditional & experimental ways of using wooden & metal type on three types of press: a Vandercook-type proofing press, an Albion press & an Adana table top press.
You will find out about how inks and paper impact on the quality of printing
You can print cards, postcards, posters & prints. You can letterpress print on paper, textile (100% cotton best) and onto any pre-existing prints or drawings, so feel free to bring anything you might like to try printing with/on. Printing paper/card and inks will be provided but if you want to try a particular type of paper, you can buy it at Pegasus on the Saturday.
