Lotus Body, Lotus Field: New Territory, True Home
Is there an art to existence, a symphony of tenses and senses? Can we become artists of living, masters in our field?
Lotus Body, 214
Lotus Body introduces us to what Tarthang Tulku calls our true home, one not limited to our documented identity. We explore intimate relationships with space, get invited to a dance with time, and receive an initiation into being (Lotus Body, 210-211). Along the way we look at and open up the “world of things”: assumptions, fears and constrictions that come with “my body” and “my property.” There is a path, open to everyone who has a body—which is to say, all of us.
This is a two semester course. Each can be done separately. Prerequisites: It would be helpful to have taken courses at Dharma College, but it is not required.
