Ventura Wild Preschool Program

Kids will climb, plant and explore oak trees and their habitats while discovering the creeks and rivers that nourish them. Come meet our oak teachers and all their friends! Every day has space for games, crafts, climbing, swimming, digging, relaxing and making friends. All summer programs include basic wilderness safety, awareness and skills in the wild. Games that increase agility and motor skills, “Leave No Trace” principles, and nature exploration. Other activities can include fire by friction, building debris huts and tracking animals among the infinite possibilities. There is usually a water component – although not guaranteed! Parents will drive kids daily to our daily destinations (see destination info), with a possible van option some days. Hiking distances vary 1 - 3 miles each day.
