Ventura Wild Preschool Program

From the mountains and valleys to the tide pools and beaches, we will explore nature’s ways of sustaining all life. A wonderful opportunity for fun, friends, and just natural outdoor time. Children are introduced to wild swimming holes, beaches, canyons and mountains of the area. Every day has space for games, crafts, climbing, swimming, digging, relaxing and making friends. All summer programs include basic wilderness safety, awareness and skills in the wild. Games that increase agility and motor skills, “Leave No Trace” principles, and nature exploration. Other activities can include fire by friction, building debris huts and tracking animals among the infinite possibilities. There is usually a water component – although not guaranteed! Parents will drive kids daily to daily destinations (see destination info), with a possible van option some days. Hiking distances vary 1 - 2 miles each day.
