Ventura Wild Preschool Program

Children enjoy fun, friends, and natural outdoor time in local wild places. Through the wonderful world of smells, sounds, tastes, sights and feelings that will tickle your tummy and amaze your toes, we wander, wonder, build and cook - we explore the world through every sense and cell. All summer programs include basic wilderness safety, awareness and skills in the wild. Games that increase agility and motor skills, “Leave No Trace” principles, and nature exploration. Other activities can include fire by friction, building debris huts and tracking animals among the infinite possibilities. There is usually a water component – although not guaranteed! Parents will drive kids daily to our daily destinations (see destination info), with a possible van option on some days. Hiking distances vary 0 - 1.5 miles each day.
