Lemma - Watercolor for Beginners and Intermediate

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Classes are nonrefundable.
November: BACK to BASICS: Basic watercolor painting concepts will be presented with application in weekly projects. PLAN a painting, limit the palette, Elements & Design. Short, basic concepts for focus! Then time to paint!

In this class you will learn the concepts of watercolor paints and be able to select logical combinations for producing your own paintings. Tricks and Techniques will be demonstrated. You will learn color theory, especially as it applies to your personal watercolor palette. If you wish, you will start a new painting project each week using that day’s information and my references. You may also choose to work on your own projects.

We choose watercolor because of its transparency and luminosity. Yet, we can be challenged-and frustrated- in the endeavor to get the results in our painting that we see in our mind’s eye.
· Learn the craft of transparency
· Learn what color mixtures fall short and look muddy
· Learn how to achieve the GLOW
· Find out what will DESTROY the glow
