WISA Nurture

Whole school Nurture approach for learning. Wellbeing in Schools Australia in partnership with Nurture International are excited to offer Australia’s first Nurture training.

Nurture international bring 50 years of history and best practice through experienced practitioners in applying Nurture practice, clinical psychology and neuroscience into schools across the UK and other countries.

Participants will learn how to develop and implement a whole K-12 schoolwide approach to Nurture to dramatically reduce the occurrence of student behavioural challenges interfering with teaching and learning.

Utilize a brand-new quick and easy diagnostic screening tool for use with all students to identify social, emotional and cognitive needs to enhance learning and educational achievement. It provides the classroom teacher with tools and strategies to implement as part of their teaching practice in addressing identified student/s challenges. Ensuring no student flies undetected under the radar with unidentified social, emotional and cognitive needs.

This training enables each school to embed over a 12 month period a whole school Nurture approach to learning based on quality standards with the opportunity to update to the latest neuroscience research, best practice, and tools to support students social, emotional and cognitive development.

Training format: Four x 3-hour Training modules, a six week review, a six month review and at 12 months, upon the successful completion of an assessment your school will formally be acknowledged as an Australian Nurture School. Individual support will be provided to your school throughout the 12 months.The training modules must include a senior leader from your school.
