This course is suitable if you have not ridden a motorcycle with manual gears before.

(A manual motorcycle is one that has a clutch and gears, and so does not include an ATV or automatic scooter.)

Suitable if you have NEVER ridden a motorcycle with a clutch and manual gears before, OR have minimal experience and require some refresher training.

2 hours of comprehensive training designed to build your confidence and skill, this session will introduce you to the controls of a motorcycle, how to move off, ride slowly in a straight line and stop safely.
Also covered is riding through a curve, changing gears, use of indicators, when and how to do a “lifesaver” check, riding alternating curves (figure of eight), parking and stopping in an emergency.

We provide the bike, helmet, jacket and gloves.

Following completion of the training, your instructor will advise whether a repeat session is required OR that you have developed the skills to move forward and book the NOVICE RIDER TRAINING & BHST ASSESSMENT.
