Introducing the Water/Color Workshop

Enjoy a day focused on nature, discovery, mixing colors, and watercolor painting. This is for artists and non-artists alike, as we will explore painting on location in a wooded area along a stream to use as inspiration while learning color mixing techniques appropriate for all levels of ability. This is the perfect way to be creative at the same time as staying socially distant!

Take time for yourself to recharge, be creative, and take in the natural beauty of Four Mile Run. We will take advantage of being streamside while we work in watercolor media. It’s all about the water!

We promise that you don’t have to start out as an experienced artist to be able to discover what colors to mix together to create a natural color palette to complete paintings from observation “en plein air” - on location, out of doors. Develop your own artistic style while doing so with the assistance of two teaching artists.

You will come away from this class with several finished pieces matted and ready for display. No previous experience is necessary to achieve lovely results.

Materials will be provided and light refreshments are included. IF you have your own set of watercolors please bring them along so that we can advise you on colors that work well in order to be able to utilize that instruction at home on your own.
*Please advise us of any dietary restrictions upon registration.

Please dress appropriately as we will be outside during this entire workshop. Water shoes are encouraged if you would like to take advantage of the natural surroundings and walk along the edge of the stream.

*The rain date is set for Sunday, September 19th from 10am-1pm if it becomes necessary.
