Building and Sustaining Faculty Mentoring Program Parts 1 & 2

Fri, Jan 28, 2022, 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM EST
Part 1 - Virtual (Register for Link), Part 2 - THC, Room 305

Overview:

This two-part mentoring workshop will take faculty leaders through a 5-step process to create and sustain an effective mentoring program for early and mid-career faculty members. The goal is to provide support, resources, and feedback on institutional faculty mentoring that would work within schools (or departments). There will be an emphasis on ensuring an inclusive mentorship plan, including one that will support BIPOC faculty members.

The full workshop is divided into two sequential parts offered on Friday, January 28 (Part 1) and Friday, February 18 from 11:30-2 pm (Part 2), including lunch. Faculty leaders (Department Chairs and Associate Deans, other faculty or administrators who support faculty mentoring programs) are invited. Participation in both parts is important to achieving the program’s goals although individuals who are only able to attend one will be able to attend just one part.
