Intro to Modern Dance
For students in K through 4th grade
Thursdays, 4pm-5pm, April 21 to June 16, 2022

Modern Dance began as a rebellion of ballet in the early 20th century from an urge to dance without traditional limitations. In this class we will practice technical skills, improvisation and composition beginning with a warm-up that includes strength, flexibility, floor work and standing exercises. We will create by combining dance steps, improvisation and musicality, while relating to the environment, each other and finding inspiration all around us.
