Writing Through It

So you want to write, but you’re not sure where to begin. This class is for you.

In this introductory workshop, we engage in some close reading — usually a poem or essay — and use it as a jumping off point for our own personal writing. Write about a place you once traveled to, a cake someone baked for you, an object you brought home from a trip. We then read the work aloud, bear witness to what’s been shared, and offer kind, constructive feedback. This class is a small, intimate space for you to take risks with your writing and for us to read deeply together.

No prior experience necessary! All welcome.
