This Live-Fire course focuses on the only two elements an Officer 

must be thoroughly proficient in for responding to an active shooter attack: 

the Hunt and the Fight! This methodology is based on real-world experience 

and designed for both terror-oriented and mentally-ill-oriented active shooter 

threats. Further, this methodology is based on tactics and strategies truly 

dedicated for the Solo Officer. This course will drastically expand the Officer’s 

understanding on what to expect in a real-life active shooter attack and it will 

optimize the Officer’s ability to quickly survive, dominate, and neutralize a violent, 

dynamic, trained threat in a chaotic, stress-induced, uncontrolled environment. 

Some of the topics covered include: the difference between engaging a criminal 

and a terrorist, Shooting and engagement applications specific to an active 

shooter threat, engaging multiple threats, effective shooting and firearm manipulation 

under stress, quickly identifying and engaging a threat in a civilian populated environment, strategies and tactics that drastically optimize Officer safety in a threat-dominated environment and that optimize saving as many innocent lives as possible, 

priorities in combat during an active shooter intervention, room entry tactics that

optimize Officer safety, reaction, and dominance against multiple threats.
