Pyrography (also referred to as woodburning) can be used to embellish your woodworks, from simple signatures to elaborate designs. The class is open to 8 students of any skill level and there will be two, 2 hour sessions Thursday April 13^th and Thursday April 20^th from 6:30 to 8:30 each evening at the Finkbeiner Learning Center. Mike will demonstrate different tools and the cost of different pyrography units and show examples of what can be achieved with pyrography. It is preferable that the students bring their own units but there will be additional units on hand for use provided by Pam Bucci. Students are encouraged to bring in items they would like to decorate with pyrography or blanks of wood for practice. Good design, how to transfer design to curved surfaces, and how to transfer and layout designs will be discussed, as well as where to find workable designs.
