The Amazing Plastic Brain
Are you interested in learning more about how the brain functions and changes with age? In this course, we will cover neuroscience basics (region-specific roles, cellular signaling and communication etc.) along with, risk and resilience factors for brain aging, and how the brain (and mind) is altered by our experiences.
If you took this course last fall (2022) you know it was heavy on technical jargon and dense with information. This time around it will be more interactive and applicable to daily life. Using real-world examples, activities, group discussion, and some pertinent scientific research we will uncover the mysteries of the amazing plastic brain together.
