The Gisleson Family is honoring their mother and former New Orleans People Program member Janet Gisleson, by offering limited scholarship funds.

For many years, People Program nourished Janet’s life-long passion for education. She believed in the importance of constantly learning about our world and each other. At People Program, she made many friends, found community and was stimulated in mind and heart. Everyone who knew Janet learned from her, through her love for life, her intelligence, humor, curiosity, generosity, and above all an abiding kindness. The Gisleson Family is grateful to keep Nona’s extraordinary spirit alive through this scholarship.
