HEARTS: Hawai‘i Education of the ARTS

SUMMER TODDLER MUSIC CLASS

This course introduces parents to many ways to play musically with their toddlers--from bouncing and dancing to swaying and peekaboo games. We will share simple songs, rhymes, and activities that you can embed in daily routines (morning, playtime, and evening). Movement and music build self-regulation, rhythm, and early language skills.

This summer we are exploring an Ocean theme with songs, movement, rhythm and sound-study, and storytelling about ocean creatures.

This four week program is for toddlers is anywhere between 18 and 36 months old.

• Classes will meet at Kailua Church of the Nazarene for 60-minutes on Monday afternoons (4:00-4:30) from July 10-31.
• Parent participation is required, and consistent attendance is strongly encouraged.

Cost of this course is subsidized by a City and County of Honolulu grant.

*The cost of this 4 session course is typically $100 PLUS the cost of materials. Thanks to a partnership with The City and County of Honolulu, HEARTS (Hawai’i Education of the Arts), and Fiddle-I-Fee, this summer class will be FREE for all participants.
