Teaching and Scholarship Hub

In this lightning session, you’ll get three mini-workshops in one, all of them on topic of student engagement. Topics will include: the first day of classes, engaging discussions, and interactive lecturing. 

What is a lightning session? It’s a bit like speed dating for teaching ideas! We’ll have three tables, each for discussion of a topic. Participants will spend roughly 15 minutes at each table, and then rotate to the next one. By the end, you’ll have all sorts of inspiration, and you’ll be able to share your best ideas with your colleagues. 

This lightning session will be offered on Wednesday, August 23 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. in the Faculty Hub. If you’d like to join us for lunch before the session (from 1-1:30pm), please let us know when you register!
