Ninety Twenty Workshop

This continuation of our Beginning Metalsmithing 1 course will teach you more metalworking techniques and boost your confidence in the skills you’ve already been practicing. Learn to securely bezel set a stone or other found objects, adding unique expression to your jewelry or metal art. An introduction to texture with the rolling mill, steel stamps, and other mark making techniques on copper, brass, and sterling silver is covered. Add volume to your jewelry and metal art objects without extra weight by learning how to safely use a hydraulic press. Continue honing your skills with the soldering torches, and practice “cleaning up” your pieces by filing, sanding, and building on your knowledge of useful tools for the flex shaft.
