This year, Constructing Modern Knowledge offers two incredible hands-on pre-institute workshops on July 8th from 9 AM to 3 PM for institute attendees interested in enhancing their learning experiences.

These workshops run at the same time — we know they are both awesome —but please select only one!

  1. Creative Computation and AI - led by Gary Stager and Jaymes Dec - $150
Participants will enjoy hands-on experiences to develop understanding of powerful computational concepts and AI use where learners are in the driver’s seat. We will explore a new wave of generative AI tools that expand the possibilities of creative expression with computer programming. This workshop welcomes programmers of all skill levels, from beginner to expert.
  2. Introduction to Learning with Electronics - led by Tracy Rudzitis - $150
A popular choice for first-time CMK participants where electronics and coding and demystified.
