There is a $500 deposit required at registration. Second deposit due January 6th ($1,000), final payment due by May 6th (Full Balance)

FAQs:

Q: Do these prices include airfare?

A: No. We have attendees from all over the world and it would be impossible to predict where everyone is flying from. If you register to attend the meetup make sure you book your airfare separately as soon as possible. Once your airfare is booked, you'll be good to go since your Meetup registration includes airport transportations, all meals and drinks, all diving, and all the rest of the meetup activities.

Q: I don't have any gear, can I borrow or rent some gear in Bonaire?

A: Rental gear is available for a fee from Toucan Diving, the dive shop/operator on site at the Plaza Beach & Dive Resort.

Q: Can I attend if I'm not a diver?

A: Absolutely! There is a $200 discount for non-divers. Send us an email to info@divetalkmeetup.com to book at a non-diver rate.

Q: What's the difference between a Grand Suite and a Junior Suite?

A: The view, and the proximity to the main restaurant. Both suites are the same size and have the same amenities. If you value waking up and having a cup of coffee in your balcony while looking at that beautiful blue ocean or the marina, get a Grand Suite! Junior suites have a pool or lagoon view.

Q: Can I dive my rebreather? What's included?

A: Definitely! Sorb and Oxygen will be included for rebreather divers, just make sure you bring your o2 bottle so it can be filled. Bailout bottles (AL80) will be available. Just bring your rigging and you'll be good to go. CCR Divers will dive rebreather profiles!

Q: Can I bring some friends and do triple or quadruple occupancy?

A: The resort limits triple and quadruple occupancy to families where 1 or 2 guests are under 18 years old.

Q: Are we going to have amazing speakers again for this meetup?

A: YOU BET.

Q: Will I be able to dive with Gus and Woody?

A: Absolutely!

Q: I'm not certified yet, can I register right now as a diver and get certified before the meetup?

A: Yes please! Make it your goal and let's dive in Bonaire.

Q: Can I just book directly with the resort and dive with you guys?

A: Meetup attendees will receive a wrist band upon checking in at the resort that will allow them to attend the meetup activities as well as join the group in the dives. During the week of the meetup, the entire availability of the dive shop and the diving staff is reserved to Dive Talk Meetup attendees. In other words, if you don't have that meetup wrist band you cannot get on a dive boat with the group.

Q: What do you mean by unlimited shore diving? How do we get to the dive sites?

A: We will have trucks available for meetup attendees to use in order to shore dive on any available site on the island. We will coordinate shore dive sites daily for the entire group to dive together, but the trucks are available 24/7 and you can dive all day every day. If you don't want to or are not allowed to drive a truck, you can dive off the house reef directly at the resort!

Q: I attended the 2023 Meetup in Cozumel? Do I get special treatment as a repeat attendee?

A: OF COURSE! A special repeat-attendee coupon code was emailed out allowing you to pay for a Junior Suite and be upgraded to a Grand Suite for free! Of course, we don't have unlimited Grand Suites so make sure you register as soon as possible to get that free upgrade before it's too late!

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: Cancel by January 1, 2024 for a full refund. April 1, 2024 for 50% refund. June 1, 2024 for 25% refund. We are unable to refund any fees past June 1st, 2024.

Q: Can I fly in early? Or stay late? Can I add extra nights?

A: TREAT YO SELF! Email us at info@divetalkmeetup.com with any dates you would like to add to your meetup registration and we will give you a quote for the extra nights.

Q: Can I attend the meetup partially? I can only be there for a couple of days.

A: Technically yes, but space will be prioritized for full attendees. Email us at info@divetalkmeetup.com with your partial dates and we will do our best to get you a spot for the nights you are able to attend.

Q: Will CCR/Sidemount divers dive recreational open circuit profiles from the boat?

A: The current plan is to have all CCR and Sidemount divers to do one long (approx. 2 hours) dive instead of two short (<1 hr) recreational dives. However if you are a CCR or Sidemount diver on a recreational boat (I.E. You are diving with a buddy who's in a single tank OC configuration) you will be diving Rec OC profiles.

If you are a CCR Diver, diving from the "CCR Boat", you will be doing 3 CCR boat dives instead of 6 single-tank Open circuit boat dives.
