Congratulations! You’ve finished your manuscript (or nonfiction proposal) and you’ve taken the editing process as far as it can go on your own and you’re ready to start querying for the perfect agent. But how—and where—to start? In this three-hour, two-session workshop, we’ll go over how to make the best first impression for yourself and your work by crafting the perfect query letter. We’ll also discuss marketing comps, finding the right agent for you, go through a mini-writing exercise, and cover the components of how to make your query stand out. At the end, we’ll workshop draft query letters and have an open Q&A on the publishing industry.
