This workshop explores the conceptions of teaching held by higher education lecturers in an attempt to help understand the issues related to 21st century teaching and learning. It explores concepts of teacher-centric and student-centric teaching/learning including the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL).
This workshop is intended to initiate deep conversations among colleagues about teaching and learning in the 21st century. It will broaden your perspectives about conceptions of teaching and learning, and demonstrate how these conceptions impact your practice and students’ learning.

- The Scholarship of Teaching and The Scholarship for Teaching
- Naïve and Superior Conceptions of Teaching
- Narrowing the Gap between Lecturers’ and Students’’ Conceptions of Teaching and Learning
