Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum, President Emerita, Spelman College, Atlanta, GA, and author of the bestselling book Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria and Other Conversations About Race. In 2014, Dr. Tatum received the Award for Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Psychology, the highest honor present by the American Psychological Association.

In this far-reaching conversation with Dr. Tatum—moderated by Rev. Andrea Ayvazian—a panel of community leaders will pose questions to Dr. Tatum and also respond to questions from the audience. Following introductory comments from Dr. Tatum and our panel of community leaders, we will open the floor to the gathered group to ask Dr. Tatum and our panelists questions and reflect with them on next steps in the struggle for racial justice. We anticipate that the exchange will be informal, open-ended, and honest.
