3-Day Smaart Operator: Advanced Training Class at (CLASS VENUE) in (CLASS CITY, ST). This class is hosted by Rational Acoustics and will be taught by (CLASS INSTRUCTOR).

CLASS DESCRIPTION

This class will follow the 2-day Smaart Operator: Advanced training class format. (click HERE for a complete course description).

Attendance for the Smaart Operator: Advanced class is strictly limited to 8 attendees, and prior attendance at a Smaart Operator: Fundamentals class is required.

Class price includes class materials, breakfast & lunch on all class days, class t-shirt and a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the class. A $250 deposit is due at the time of registration to secure your spot in the class, with the balance due 2 weeks prior to the class start date. Every class attendee is entitled to a discounted license of either Smaart v8 or Di v2. (For a review of the differences between the two versions, click HERE). You can purchase a license at the time of registration and upon successful processing of your registration and payment, a license code will be emailed to you along with activation instructions. Licenses will only be emailed upon payment in-full of class registration fees, so if you choose to only pay the deposit at the time of registration, your license will not be emailed to you until the balance is paid 2 weeks prior to the class start date.

If you choose not to purchase a license during the registration process, you will be emailed a coupon code upon completion of the class to purchase a discounted license from our online store. Coupons are valid for 90 days after the class.

The measurement signals used in the instruction of the Operator: Advanced class will be distributed using a Dante audio network. For the lecture portion of the class attendees must bring a laptop computer with both the latest version of Smaart v8 measurement software and Dante Virtual Soundcard (DVS) installed. A 30 day demo version of Smaart v8 is available online at www.rationalacoustics.com/demo-smaart. Dante Virtual Soundcard can be obtained from the Audinate (Dante Virtual Soundcard’s manufacturer) web site at www.audinate.com ( either by purchase or via a temporary trial installation.

For the laboratory practice portion of the class, students are encouraged (but not required) to bring their own Smaart rigs (computer, interface, microphone(s)). All other equipment for labs will be provided by Rational Acoustics.

PREREQUISITES

Smaart Operator: Advanced requires the prior attendance of a Smaart Operator: Fundamentals course. Students who wish to attend this course but do not meet this pre-requisite must obtain Instructor/session host approval prior to registration. This session does not require prior measurement / system alignment experience; however it does assume a working knowledge of professional sound system engineering practices and basic audio fundamentals.
