The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community sponsors an interactive Cultural Sensitivity Training (CST) the provides critical information to development and construction personnel to ensure the protection, preservation and respectful treatment of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s cultural and archaeological resources.

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC or Community) has extensive laws and ordinances that must be followed when conducting construction and development related activities within the boundaries of the Community. Developers, Contractors and subcontractors must follow all regulations and laws related to the protection of the Community’s cultural resources. The CST reviews all federal and Community laws, ordinances and regulations that prioritize the protection of the cultural and archaeological resources of SRPMIC. CST is approximately 90 minutes and consists of a presentation and an outline review of these important rules for the road.
