On this course, experienced trainer and education writer, Rachel Clarke, equips colleagues with the skills to teach spelling effectively. The course is embedded in research and takes teachers through research-led approaches to teaching spelling effectively. The course includes a crash course on key spelling terminology including morphology, etymology, orthography and phonological approaches to spelling. The course is practical, meaning that attendees will return to the classroom with practical approaches to teaching spelling across the primary phase.

This course is suitable for teachers in KS1 and KS2.
