“Boot Camp” is back for another round of online fun!

Aloha Theatre is requesting video auditions for their Voices From The Ring of Fire series’ productions of “Eddie Would Go” and “Queen of Makaha: Rell Sunn” this August. We want YOU to feel as prepared and confident as possible by offering an “Audition Boot Camp”, bringing interested auditioners the details, material, and support to ensure a successful audition experience!

Time to flex those acting muscles!

Aloha Theatre will be holding auditions for their Voices From The Ring of Fire series’ productions of “Eddie Would Go” and “Queen of Makaha: Rell Sunn” on August 17. Are YOU ready?!

Train with the Directors, Nicole Gour and Jaquelynn Jeanne Collier, and guest language coach, Jennifer Young, as they get you “in shape” to audition through understanding the story and context of the shows, learn and practice elements of the Pidgin (Hawaiian Creole) dialect, exploring “sides” to audition with from the shows, improvisation, physical characterization, share artistic visions and casting expectations, and provide video audition tips! They’ll also share more information about the historical and authentic components of this production, audition dos/don’ts, and other sneak peek opportunities for interested community members!

Ages 15+. Participants of all abilities, backgrounds, and experiences are welcome. Performance experience and ability to speak Pidgin is a plus, but not required to attend this workshop.

This workshop will be held via Zoom. A link will be shared to all registered participants 24 hours before the class’ start time.
