Aloha! I’m Kyle Furusho and I’m a multi-instrumental singer/songwriter, worship leader, as well as a professional performing recording artist in Hawaii, and previously, in LA. I’ve played the ukulele for 23 years, and for most of us in Hawaii, myself included, the ukulele is one of the first instruments that we learn. I want to share some of the skills, tips, and tricks that I wish I knew when I started playing. I’ll be teaching a beginning-level class from 4th grade and up as well as individual private lessons for intermediate players that wish to bring their skill to the next level. In the beginner class, I will teach you skills that will help you gain a broader understanding of what the ukulele is capable of, while helping you cultivate your musical skills such as reading chord charts, a variety of strumming and picking techniques, and learning to play by ear as well as how to employ these skills in a song.
