BUILD 2021 (WA)

BUILD WA from 21st MAY - 22nd MAY 2021.
Men love to build. The question is how do you build a life that will be truly worth while and stand the test of time. What does a life built for God actually look like and how do Aussie blokes go about doing that?

Topic

Today our society encourages us to depend on ourselves and to turn from anything that may limit our freedom. We are told that true freedom comes when we are free from all commitments and we can chart our own paths. All good builders know that when they build anything they need to start with a solid foundation, it is the same for us when we try to build our lives, we too need a solid foundation. God’s word shows us how we can have a solid foundation in Him and how that will affect our lives, our churches and those in our local communities.

Join Geoff Westlake and Aidan Smith as they share passionately why we as men need to be actively involved in our local churches so we can help change the world for our Lord.

Speakers

Geoff Westlake

Geoff drove trucks before he became a Baptist minister. Then last millennium he joined OAC Ministries, a Christian outreach organisation where he continues to give presentations for churches, schools, camps & homes. He’s also on the executive team. With his wife and 4 kids (born 2000-2004), he started Cheers Neighbours’ Network in 2003, to “bless & benefit Banksia Grove and beyond.” They developed a pathway for youth discipleship. He directed the first Worldview Australia youth leadership camp in 2021, which intensively trained 70 high schoolers to think and act with a Christian Perspective.

Aidan Smith

Aidan started uni with a love for maths and science. Somewhere along the way he got degrees in engineering and urban design, but learned far more about Jesus. As a result he is now discovering that he loves people, and enjoys thinking through what that should look like at work, church, and everywhere in between. He is passionate about the youth and young adults ministry he leads with his wife Jess at Duncraig Christian Community Church, as well as lego, ultimate frisbee, and 2am conversations.

NOTES RE REGISTRATION

To register a group, please follow the instructions on the registration page. You will register the first person first then have an option to register additional people. The form will prefill portions of the registration for you to simplify the multiple registration process.

If you are registering as a Father and Son combination, you’ll need to register yourself first and then each son as a multiple registration. When you register your sons, please enter the Coupon code of “SON”. This will provide the special pricing for the Father / Son discount.

It is important to go through this process as we need the names of all who attend so we can prepare name tags and rooming lists.

Please note the registration system will ask you to pay online individually for each registration. You can do this or you can chose to pay offline as a direct debit. We would recommend that those registering groups of people use this option and then direct debit the fees to
