Coutts - Acrylic/Oil Studio
Classes are nonrefundable.
Oil/Acrylic Painting Class Description
This is a studio class that will be tailored to the skill levels and needs of the students enrolled.
Beginning students will receive an introduction to brushes, various types of painting mediums and surfaces, basic color theory, color mixing and painting techniques. Students will work on projects guided by the instructor. Instruction will include some lecture and professional demonstrations.
Beginning students will work with acrylic paint only.
Intermediate and Advanced students may choose their own subject matter and medium (acrylic and/or oil) and will receive individual suggestions and guidance as needed or requested as they work in a studio environment. These students will be encouraged to explore and to develop their own individual artistic voice.
All students will be guided through critiques of finished works as a means of learning how to assess visual art, improve their technique, and to help them in developing a professional artistic language.
