Arguably the world’s most famous robot - Spot from Boston Dynamics is a $75k agile mobile robot that navigates with unprecedented mobility. Most importantly it can dance!

Spot's On It

In this 1 day course you too will teach/train/program Spot to dance

You will choreograph, program and record your very own robot dance! 

You will get hands-on time with Spot and learn about it’s different moves.

And yes! Dancing with Spot is highly encouraged!

Who is this course for?

• People interested in learning more about robotics, Boston Dynamics and Spot!

• People interested in understanding how to make robots friendlier and more accessible

• People who want to make a robot dance!

Prequisites:

• You should not be scared of robots

• You should enjoy seeing robots dance

• Experience listening to music and dancing is not required but highly recommended.

Milestones/Lesson plan:

1. Familiarize yourself with Spot’s hardware, movements and basic functionality (1 hour )
2. Go through Spot’s movements and learn Spot’s Choreography Software (1 hour)
3. Teach Spot to Dance (1 hour)
4. Choreograph your own dance and record it (2 hours)

Film it, the recording is yours to use however you wish.

We'll have a Green Screen available and a filming location ready. Feel free to bring any lights, props, fancy AV equipment if you would like to for recording your dance routine.
