Green Woodworking: Tools & Techniques
Learn more about green woodworking and traditional hand tools.

The course begins with building a basic shaving horse using dimensional lumber. This essential green woodworking tool is both a foot-operated vice and workbench and is used in a host of green wood crafts such as chairmaking, spoon carving and coopering.

During the course, you will gain practical experience working with your shaving horse and traditional hand tools.  You will also learn to split, shave and dry fresh timber while making a post-and-rung stool with a woven seat.
