Confined Space Entry and Monitor (ESC)
This is a classroom-based 1-day ESC-certified course in confined space entry and monitor available at SCS multiple times a week. SCS partners with ESC to make sure we can bring you this confined space training, which is an industry-standard course required on ESC-partnership worksites in Alberta and recognized across other industries and sectors.
If you have to enter or monitor confined spaces for work you need training in the unique hazards of those environments. Confined and restricted spaces pose a serious risk of injury or death in case of accidents or untrained entry. In our ESC-certified Confined Space Entry and Monitor course, you will learn the theory and skills to keep both you and your co-workers safe.

Confined space work involves some of the most critical hazards in the oil and gas industry, so it is critical to understand and plan for them before starting work. This course is offered online or in classroom through our Authorized Training Provider network. The Confined Space Entry and Monitor training teaches participants to identify, understand and mitigate the potential hazards of working in restricted and confined spaces.
Developed using the Canadian Standards Association’s Z1006-16 Management of Work in Confined Spaces and the Canadian Association of Oil and Gas Producers’ Code of Practice for Confined Space.
Upon Completion
Upon successful completion of the required proctored exam with a minimum score of 70% you will receive a certificate that is valid for three years. Note: the online training will have a proctored examination.
