"Join us in a star studded night of wonder and magic as Piripi walks us through the ancient star lore of the old Maaori mystics. Hear for the first time the Tainui teachings of Matariki and Puanga he lays out the genealogy and significance of these Rangatira Stars. In addition, Piripi will reveal the teachings of many other star lore traditions that he has collected from around the motu in his many years of research and study"

Piripi will be supported by a former student to do a presentation on the preservation of our indigenous Skyscape from light pollution and space debris /satellites. We will have a guest sing a few waiata afterwards, then we can have a night viewing with telescopes outside of the art space.
