Marian St Theatre for Young People

New and continuing students with an intellectual disability aged 18+. No experience necessary

An accessible drama class for up to 12 young people aged 18+ with an intellectual disability. Participating with others in a fun, inclusive and creative environment with drama exercises and improvisation games that give young people an outlet for their creative expression, build confidence and develop communication skills. The course will culminate in a short performance for family and friends at the year’s end.

Class Details

DAY              4:30 – 6pm, Mondays, one class a week

LOCATION   Killara – St Martin’s Church Hall, 9B Arnold St, Killara. Ample street parking and a short walk from Killara station

TERM 4: 17th October - 5th December

New Students

We welcome new students into the accessible class, however the class does not accept new students online, only returning students re-enrolling into the same class. This is a specialised class, therefore new enrolments need to be carefully managed. Performances

We hold open classes throughout the year. There is also a short performance at the end of term 4.

Cost

TERM                                          $240 for 8 weeks (1 term). $30 per class.

TRIAL CLASSES                          $30 at the beginning of term. Amount paid is taken off semester or term fee if you continue.
