Join us as we discuss a variety of issues related to the complex topic of Reparations for African Americans for slavery and its brutal legacy and ongoing harms and disparities. In a Q&A format, we will explore the case for reparations, historical precedents for reparations programs that might be useful to consider, and a description and update on our local Reparations for Amherst initiative. We will also refer to and describe a local educational offering, The Stolen Beam Series, as an opportunity for further reparations engagement and education.
