PD WORKSHOP "ZTT Critical Competencies AREA 3: Supporting Language & Literacy Development" includes 3 sub-area learning units:

• L&L-1: Promoting Communication Exchange (2.5 hours)
• L&L-2: Expanding Expressive and Receptive Language and Vocabulary (2.5 hours)
• L&L-3: Promoting Early Literacy (2.5 hours)
• Each unit has a digital ZTT Critical Competencies participant training manual

This is an approved PD FUNDED Training Workshop for reimbursement with Alberta Childcare Grant Funding Program: To certified staff working in licensed: childcare and ECE preschool programs, and with family dayhome agencies. THE ZERO to THREE Growing Critical Competencies training program is built on professional criteria and is cross walked with: The Center for the Study of Social Policy Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework. Developed by ZERO to THREE as a significant group effort involving experts in the field of early child and brain development: developmental psychologists, psychiatrists, doctors, social workers, senior training specialist, researchers, etc.

The Zero to Three Critical Competenies for Infant-Toddler Curriculum and Training Program for AREA 1, 2 AND 3 is approved for PD funding by the government of Alberta Children Services: To certified staff working in licensed childcare programs, including ECE staff working in preschool programs and day home providers in licensed family day home agencies.   To learn more about the Alberta Child Care Grant Funding Program, click HERE. To learn more about the New Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Recovery and Retention Grant Agreement, please click HERE.
