Everybody agrees, when Michiganders explain where they are from, they raise their right hand and point to a spot on it. It’s a quirky piece of Michigan culture!

Join us and create a ceramic Michigan map out of you and your child's handprints. This workshop is designed for children ages 3-7 along with a parent or caregiver (21+). Older children (ages 8-12) can come alone and create the entire map or just the Lower Peninsula with their handprint (s). Tiny heart shapes and other fun stamps will be added to your special piece! These make wonderful keepsakes.

The clay slab is approximately 10 x 10 inches. Some hand placements may need to be positioned closer or for larger hands only the lower peninsula may be an option.

All materials included; no experience necessary. Fired pieces will be ready for pick-up at Whitepine Studios in approximately 2 weeks after class.
