Defensive Carry Fundamentals (2 Sessions)
This course will train the student to responsibly carry a firearm in public for the purpose of self-protection or the protection of others. Carrying a firearm in public requires a skillset beyond basic handgun usage. The course includes a classroom requirement to review how to avoid difficult situations, and if necessary, how and when you can use a firearm for self-defense. Range skills include sighted and unsighted fire, emergency reloads, proper presentation from holster, shooting and moving. The second session (range only) will expand on these skills and integrate more advanced scenarios such as low-light shooting and shooting from cover.
The course is held in 2 sessions and you register for both on one registration. You need to attend both sessions and no refunds will be made if you do not. Completion of this course makes you eligible to register for monthly skill builder training.
