In compliance and preparation for the Hawaii State Massage Board's new Act requiring First Aid / CPR class Review courses by June 2024, Hands On Hearts CPR is offering:

First Aid & CPR Course, Certificate 2.5 CEU verified through Red Cross

Quick, efficient review course of basic First Aid and CPR to get you compliant with the Massage Board's new license renewal requirements. Earn .25 UCE Units and review both CPR and basic life saving First Aid, as opposed to only ,1 UCE Unit at a 'CPR/AED" class.

CPR & First Aid skills will be reviewed using assessment scenarios and course activities.

First Aid / CPR Class
This is a Hawaii State Massage Therapist license renewal requirement compliant class, and earns 2.5 CEU credits* and national certificate with Red Cross (optional).

Please be aware that you must take a First Aid as well as CPR class with a Licensed ARC Instructor, with your Certificate issued through ARC submitted by your Instructor directly, in order to receive your CEU. Only American Red Cross is accredited to issue CEU for CPR and First Aid hands-on only classes. CPR/AED only classes, which are shorter in length and cost, earn only 1 CEU. This First Aid / CPR class is ideal for Body Workers, Lomi Lomi Practitioners, and Massage Therapists, who would like to renew their or need a new Certificate. Refresh your skills while being compliant with the Boards new Act requiring hands-on training in First Aid and CPR by June 2024.
You may choose to take the class as purely a refresher or informational class and only pay the Instructor and supply fee, or also add on the official Red Cross CPR / First Aid Certificate option for the National database (CEU will be a part of this) to the Red Cross along with verification that you participated in the skills required once you pass the course.

Your Certificate of Completion will verify you successfully passed review First Aid course of:

Adult & Child CPR
Choking
Sudden Illness
Life-Threatening Bleeding
Injuries and Environmental Emergencies

Approx 2.75-3 hours total. 1 CE unit per 50 hands on participation minutes= 2.5 (.25 IAECT) CEU of hands on instruction.

This upcoming class, is hands on participation course, covering basic First Aid as well as CPR, and earns 2.5 hours CEU through American Red Cross.

$85 (mandatory) class and Materials Fee (deduction for early bird or promotions will be accepted if registered and any balance paid on or before early bird date)

Plus (optional);

$38 (optional) American Red Cross Certificate and pocket Certificate, 2.5 CEU, registered in the ARC National database registry. You may pay for this option in person by cash venmo paypal, or in advance by the same or credit card.

Or $28 (Optional) for Renewal of existing Certificate. For those who have a Certificate in both First Aid and CPR, issued no more than 2 years ago, you may choose this option to renew your Certification. Must email, text, or show your Certificate to Instructor for this option. Must be issued by ARC or AHA and include First Aid as well as CPR on the Certificate as well as at least .2 CEU.

Early Bird Instructor Price must be paid for within the time limit prior to the class date, in order to receive the discount. Venmo Paypal and Cash are accepted. Credit Card $5 service charge.

Class Requirement: In this First Aid & CPR Course, all participants must engage in group activities, skill building scenarios, and demonstrate high-quality CPR on a mannequin. If you have restrictions, please notice Instructor in advance for accommodations. Instruction will be in compliance with Red Cross procedures to qualify for an Adult First Aid & CPR Certificate valid for 2 years and 2.5 CEUs also through the Red Cross, if completed successfully.

Additional information from the Red Cross regarding CEUs and Certification:
The American Red Cross is approved to award CEUs through the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). The purpose of CAPCE is to standardize the review and approval of quality EMS Continuing Education activities.

Certification Courses

In certain cases, certification of skills is a job requirement. For example, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required if you are an EMT or a designated emergency responder at your work. In other cases, Red Cross certification is a way of demonstrating that you are prepared for a wide range of emergencies – in your personal life and in activities such as coaching, youth organizations, etc.

Continuing Education

Professionals who need continuing education units to maintain licensure or certification can obtain CEUs through choosing the American Red Cross Training Services.

Once training has been successfully completed, a CEU certificate, along with a course certificate, will be sent to students who provided an email address. Class participants should verify with their appropriate accrediting organization that CEUs received from taking Red Cross courses will be accepted.



The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program is designed to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in this program teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person when minutes matter, and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA, workplace or other regulatory requirements.

Certification is valid for 2 years.

This class earns 2.5 CE Continuing Education units (.25 CEU) as well as First Aid/ CPR Certificate

Includes $38 or $28 (depending which option you chose) registry and certificate fee to American Red Cross. Instructor will submit your fees directly to the ARC after you have passed the course. ARC will email you your Certificate after the Instructor verified that you passed the skills test within 10 days of completing the class.

Preregistration with deposit of $50 or full payment is required to hold your spot. Deposit is non-fundable if you fail to cancel less than 48 hours prior to class. Remaining balance due in cash, before start of class.

Class will begin promptly on time. Late arrivals might be denied entry and forfeit registration fee. Please, arrive on time.

Please bring your water, a towel, and wear comfortable clothing.
