Intuitive Defensive Shooting Alumni Class
This training event is for recent (within the last 12 months) Get Trained Be Ready Intuitive Defensive Shooting students with decent skillsets only.
This is not for first time Intuitive Defensive Shooting students.
This Course will provide the student with a more advanced understanding of true Counter Ambush training with a defensive firearm, additional defensive shooting skills and a training methodology for continuing to develop those skills. This class picks up where the Fundamentals of Intuitive Defensive Shooting class leaves off.
This course is one full day of intense training, teaching and practice. The course will cover the following topics:
- Fundamentals of Defensive Shooting & Intuitive Skill Development
- Defensive Accuracy
- Lateral Motion
- The Balance of Speed & Precision
- The Critical Incident Reload
- Volume of Fire
- Realistic Training for Multiple Target Engagement
- Understanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a Dynamic Critical Incident.
- The Skill Development Cycle
- One Handed & Weak Handed Shooting
- Non-Diagnostic Linear Malfunction Clearing
- Shooting in Motion (When, How & Why)
- Shooting in and around vehicles
- and other topics as time allows
What do I need to bring?
- Defensive Pistol
- Backup gun (optional)
- If your magazines hold less than 10 rounds, bring 5 magazines. If your magazines hold more than 10 rounds, bring at least 3 magazines.
- Strong side hip or appendix holster (quality kydex, or a similar type where the top of the holster remains open)
- ~500 rounds ammunition (we can have it provided day of class if you need it at market prices, but we need to know ahead of time)
- Eye and ear protection - Electronic Ear Protection STRONGLY recommended
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Lunch, Snacks, Drinks
- Gear that can withstand rigorous use. We will be spending a lot of time coming out of, and going back to, the holster.
Our Cancellation Policy at Get Trained Be Ready is as follows:
Our policy is that all payments are non-refundable, but if a student is unable to attend and advises us prior to the day of the class that he or she is unable to attend, we will retain the payment on their behalf for a period of one year from the date of the class as a credit towards any class that we teach in an amount equal to their payment.
However, we limit all class sizes. If you want to attend a later class and notify us after that class is already full, then you will have to wait for another class.
